Accessibility
Presaledesk is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
What we do
- Semantic, structured HTML with a logical heading order, landmarks, and a skip link.
- Keyboard operability throughout, with a visible focus indicator on every control.
- Measured colour contrast: the lowest ratio on the site is 5.1:1, against a 4.5:1 requirement.
- Descriptive alternative text on photographs, and a real label on every form field.
- Form errors described in words, not by colour alone, and shown only after you’ve had a chance to fill the field in.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” system setting, so the background animation stops.
- Type sized in relative units, so it follows your browser settings and reflows at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Where we fall short
This is our own assessment, not an independent audit, and we have not tested every combination of assistive technology and browser. The site also depends on Google Fonts. If those fail to load, the text stays readable but the layout will not look as designed. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment; as we add to the site we will hold new content to the same standard.
